Cutting costs and meeting energy targets
In these days of increasingly difficult carbon reduction and renewable energy targets, early energy planning is vital for keeping build costs to a minimum while maintaining the architectural integrity of a scheme – it aids a smoother planning process, too.
Initial M&E scheme design
We can advise you on the different M&E strategies suitable for your scheme, and work with the design team to incorporate the required plant room and riser space. We can produce hand sketches of requirements, or detailed M&E strategy reports to accompany planning submission.
Energy strategies
As accredited SAP and SBEM assessors we can undertake accurate calculations to determine the energy footprint of the proposed scheme. We can then work with the design team to incorporate renewable technologies if required under planning policy.
Sustainability statements
We can provide detailed sustainability statements to demonstrate how the proposed scheme meets local, regional and national sustainability targets.
Daylight and sunlight assessments
We are able to undertake daylight and sunlight impact assessments for proposed schemes to quantify any impact on existing properties. We are also able to undertake detailed internal daylighting plots for new schemes.
Our clients often find our integrated package of energy services saves them both time and money (for an example click here), as it means only one firm needs time to get to grips with the details of a project, and there is no need for re-collection of data or recalculation. In short, it’s more efficient to use a single consultancy throughout.
